This is a RP thread, in other words, a role-playing forum game. Everybody is free to join, however, please first PM me or jc_gargma and ask for permission. If you are serious and responsible, you will be permitted to join.

Xian Nox: That's not Hell's most frequent BGM. In fact this ambience is found only a couple of regions, that are populated mostly by runaway humans.
The default BGM is something like this... *plays a music box-like tune*

This is a gateway. In order to pass you must fly through it at 120km/h, which is no problem for a winged one like me.
Do you want me to carry you, or are you ok on your own, Maid-san?

Xian Nox: *A pair of raven black wings erupt from my back, I take to the air and pass through the gateway after you. Moments after I pass, the gateway vanishes.*

The place the gateway leads to looks like a desert. The sky is blood red and a desert lies as far as the eye can see. There is something big floating in midair.
My own flying island. In Hell you can have whatever you want, and the sky is by no means a limit.
You turn back a see a humanoid creature about 185cm tall, with knee-length dark hair that has a golden shine in the sun. On it's back are three pairs of wings, with the feathers black with a silver outline. It wears a long black coat.
My true form. I hope you like it. You'll still need your wings for a while, because my island is only accessible by air.

The island looks like an ordinary flying island, but a closer look reveals something different. It appears to be upside down, with the part that is facing the surface being flat. What's more, a Newdaiz-style autumn jungle is growing on the bottom side.
It wasn't interesting enough, so I flipped it. I also flipped the gravity, so you can actually walk through the jungle and you can fall in the sky. Fun, is it not?
Because of a force shield around the island you have to enter at a precise speed. Fly next to me, please.

Some time later, you feel the barrier I mentioned earlier.
Just to keep burglars away. After all, this is the Netherworld, and it's inhabitants rarely think before stealing.

A few seconds later, you see the entire flat surface of the island. It is neither too big, nor too small, just enough for a single Demon to live. The jungle covers the entire surface and at it's center is a mansion. Between the mansion and the jungle is a garden full of strangle crystalline flowers. In the garden you can also see a small lake, it's surface completely flat. Around the lake are a couple of trees that appear to be of the same substance that the flowers are.

We land near the edge of the garden. Before us is a path covered by pebbles. The mansion is just a short walk away.
Speaking of it, it is a building about 15 meters high, with a very high tower on one end. It is made of gray stone. According to the windows it should have five floors.

When we near it, the doors open.
Welcome home, Master! says a small maid. It is about 50 cm tall and wears a standard uniform.
Good day, Iris!, I reply, this is a friend of mine that will be staying here for a while. Please make sure that our guest receives the best of our hospitality.
Of course., comes the immediate reply.

This is my maid. Her name is Iris. She is in fact a doll - a soulless creature, programmed to do whatever it is told. However, I always treat her with the respect she deserves.

You must be tired after all this flying. Do you want to rest. I'll be glad to show you around later.

The little maid looks up towards you with it's golden cat-like eyes, as if saying "I'm ready to go". You take a small step towards her and that's all she needs to start guiding you through the corridors.

Hmm, the fourth seems to making a fuss for me to pay attention to me, so, that one sounds nice. *rubs eyes, looking tired* Sleep, will be good. Shifting internal prominences is worse than jet-lag.

You go up the marble stairs to the fourth floor. You look around a bit.The walls are high and are made of white marble. There are no paintings and no chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The light comes from white triangular crystals, position every few meters on the wall. All doors are made of wood and have beautiful carvings. On the floor are long dark purple carpets that stretch from end to end.
The doll guides you to a door at the end of the corridor and then opens it. You go in a spacious corner room, filled with light from the windows. It looks like a simply decorated bedroom as it only has a bed, wardrobes, a desk, a table and chairs. The floor is covered with a dark parquet and a carpet is on top.
As soon as you lay down to rest the maid shuts the curtains so that the light won't disturb you. She leaves without making any noise and closes the door after her.
You fall asleep. When you wake up, you feel refreshed. Soon afterward, as if sensing that you're awake, the maid comes in.
What would you like to do, Mistress?

There are two things about this place that aren't what they appear to be. First of all, this mansion appears to be built of stone, doesn't it? In fact it isn't. It is made of nanites. This was much easier for me, since I didn't have to import tremendous amounts of stone in the middle of this sandpit.
Nanites have another advantage: during an attack this building can turn into quite a fortress. If you want I can demonstrate it later, but without a target, it isn't as impressive. (Hmm, if only a small innocent angel wondered in...)
A bit more about the building. It does have five floors, that's correct, but down it reaches the other end of the island, so that would make it about 30 levels down. There's also a lift down, it's not only the stairs, don't worry. Smile

The entire island has a power source that could intrigue your Soul Vampire part. I will show it to you when we get near it of course.
Oh, I almost forgot the tower on the left side. I usually use it for my research. There is something there that could interest you as well. Let's visit it first. It's easier to fly there than climb the stairs.

First of all, I don't have all the materials. I need to pay a little visit to a... friend to get them.
The second thing... well... except guiding guests around and saying a couple of lines, Iris can't do anything else. She doesn't need to clean because the building simply cleans itself, she doesn't cook since I don't eat that much. So I never programmed her to do anything fancy.

Makes sense, self repairing and self-reorganizing sounds smart. True, practice ranges can only demonstrate so much.

Now then, let's explore the underground part a bit. It has 30-something levels, but most of them are still empty. I've also frozen time in some parts, so please don't force the doors if they don't want to open. I still have one guest there that hasn't left for this reason.

For my own convenience, I installed a lift in the tower that goes directly to the underground levels.
Although underground, the interior of the corridors remains unchanged. The door however are made of metal.
*A couple of minutes later*
Alright, first stop, -5. Herein lies the power generator for the entire island. *Opens a heavy metal door*
The room you enter is rather small compared to the others in the mansion. In the center is a metal table, with a big glass jar on top. The glass of the jar has a light purple color and inside are many small orbs. A light white, transmitting and occasional weak lightning, is rising to a collector on top.
Humans call these orbs "Paradoxical Night". Most of them think this is just some harder-than-diamond mineral but in fact none know where these come from.
They are actually from Heaven. That's what they turn people into: each one of these orbs contains thousands of souls. What I managed to do was find somebody who knew how to turn them into energy. And of course I had to find somebody who had to supply me with these.
Yup, that's what I used Angels for. Quite naive they are. It is amazing how much they will do for each other.
Just one of these orbs can keep the island afloat for a millennium. With twenty three here and a supply of much more, I have a near-infinite supply of energy.

This pretty much sums up what is in this part of the mansion. Now then, would you like to try falling in the sky?

That's really weird. What good would ones like that do coming here, let alone into the Netherworld at all.

*laughs* I, must be the single greatest oddity in the whole of continuity.
The Half-Angel, who treasures them, and could never bring herself to harm or deface them.
The Half-Soul Vampire, who endures the hunger and starves herself in that she finds the thought of consuming them abhorrent.
How could I be either of them?
*Closes her eyes and doesn't make a sound for several minutes, then swiftly gets up and moves towards the door*
Yes, the jump-falling should help clear my head. Here, the hunger is almost overpowering.
I need to be of sound mind with the serious questions I'm going to ask my mother.

For me it is either me or them since I too, as a Demon, feed on souls. The one who holds onto the Plank of Carneades will survive the storm, the other shall drown, but tell me, why should the first one be titled murderer for all he wants is to preserve his own, sacred life?
You have two parts, and the two of them are in conflict, aren't they? Embrace yourself for the one you are, and you are both.

When you go out of the door leading to the garden, you see three clones of myself, all running around at high speed, each carrying something. By the time you get near, everything is complete and the clones turn into feathers and float back into me.

A rather low-rank devil decided to summon a monster and pet it. The monster was a dragon in fact, so he had to get approval from 12 Demons and 12 Devils. Since he is low-ranked, we decided to play a little trick on him. He had to bribe all of us. *laughs* I don't say I've never been bribed before, but this guy was serious. He really bribed all. And look what I got. *pulls out a small glass box* A nuclear power plant. He really went to the human world, found a 6 reactor power plant, transported it to the Netherworld and then shrank it enough to put it in the box. *laughs* At least he remembered to freeze the time around it so that it wouldn't explode.
So in the end, after three months of negotiations with various members of the Assembly, he managed to find 24 members that would approve his proposal.
Now comes the most interesting part. Firstly, he paid us just before the vote. Just after that the vote began, one of the Devils fell asleep. So he went and gently, I can't describe you how gently, woke her up. We laughed our asses off.
In the end we decided that he had entertained us enough and approved it all. So once he got his certificate, he decided to use it. And he actually summoned the dragon during the Assembly.
Rules aside, this part is the funniest. Monsters usually obey their summoners and it's not uncommon to see a monster die for it's master. This dragon however was more interesting. It took an instant dislike to it's master and started flying around, screaming. Unable to fly, all this helpless guy could do was run around shouting "Obey your master" and "Come this instant". In the end, the dragon had enough of him and it broke the ceiling and ran away.
Now this poor guy not only bribed us all in vain, but he also has to repair the ceiling and after that face a trial.

Its the same with Humans. They get a measure of power, want to show off how they're strong, and are like, "Hmm, enslave a dragon, sounds like a good idea."
